SCCA Lions Basketball offers a boys team in 2009 for grades 5th-9th.  This is the first year that SCCA has offered a basketball team as we now have enough students and coaches to field a team.  In 2010 we hope to offer a girls basketball program but we are currently in need of a head coach.

James Luchs- Head Coach - Mr. Luchs has played basketball and other sports locally in Southern NJ.  He is committed to working with SCCA students to instill in them a Christ-like character and sportsmanship as they play basketball.  Through his leadership and the support of his assistant coaches he is building a quality basketball program that will glorify Christ.

Marcus Allen- Assistant Coach - Mr. Allen is a parent at SCCA.  Marcus played with the Denver Nuggets in 1994, making the team roster until he was dismissed due to a knee injury.  Mr. Allen continued to play basketball internationally until 1999 (Sweden, Israel, Finland and Argentina). Mr. Allen has extensive experience in coaching youth teams and basketball camps.  His experiences and commitment to helping build SCCA's basketball program will be valuable. 

Rich Marcucci-  Assistant Coach/Drill Instructor- Mr. Marcucci is a parent at SCCA and currently helps run Impact basketball which is a world renowned basketball training system that many college and NBA players participate.  Rich is also the founder of Atlantic Cape Camps after 19 years of running College Exposure and Skill development camps. Dozens of current college and NBA players have passed though his programs on their way to success. ACC has run clinics in France, England, Iceland, Belgium and Hawaii all of which have been featured on ESPN.  His experiences and commitment to helping build SCCA's basketball program will be valuable.
